AGRITURISMO GALLO NERO is a farm in northeast Italy, which offers rooms and apartments with breakfast. The comfortable accomodation is suited for every type of traveller who wants to discover our wonderful Veneto, from Padua to Venice, from Verona to Vicenza to Dolomiti Bellunesi.

Our farmstay accomodation is about 3 km from the exit of the A4 turnpike in Grisignano, where there is a bus stop and train station at hand; and it is 40 minutes from the Venice Airport, while still being immersed in the tranquil, fascinating and lush Veneto countryside.

The Agriturismo offers five rooms and one apartment, all with Satellite TV, heat and air conditioning and a private bath. There is an inviting common room where guests may gather to get to know other guests, converse with the owner, or pause to consult our pamphlets to plan an exciting day of sight seeing.

AGRITURISMO GALLO NERO was born from the desire to introduce our visitors to an understanding of how a small farm functions, in a modern way without forgetting the teachings of those who came before us.

Our farm is composed of 95 etteri (about 200 acres) dedicated principally to raising corn for animal feed, but also includes soy beans and winter wheat. The area where the soil is sandy is being used for the cultivation of poplar trees, which at the end of their growth cycle will be harvested and then a new stand will be planted in the same area.

There still exists a little more than an acre of vineyard that was planted in the early 1960’s and is used in the production of Italian Merlot wine. Two acres of hay fields remain to remind us of the years when there were cows on the farm. Hay that is now harvested is used to feed our goats.
